🐾 Refuge Catchat Annual Raffle 2026

Help Keep Our Cats Warm, Fed, and Cared For This Winter

As winter approaches, adoptions slow down—but our rescue work never stops.

For the cats and kittens in our foster homes, every meal, veterinary appointment, and warm place to sleep starts with someone choosing to help.

By participating in our annual raffle, you’re supporting Refuge Catchat’s work to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned, stray, and vulnerable cats and kittens. Funds raised help provide food, veterinary care, sterilizations, emergency treatment, and essential supplies.

Behind every ticket is a little heartbeat—and a story you can help change. 💜

Our fundraising goal is $10,000. Help us reach it—and hopefully go beyond it again!

• Tickets may not be purchased from outside Québec, even if the purchaser is willing to travel to collect a prize.

• Eligible participants from any town or region in Québec may participate, subject to the collection and travel conditions below.

• Refuge Catchat team members, board members, and their immediate family members living in the same household are not eligible to participate or win.

• Tickets must be purchased in the name of an individual.

2. Ticket Purchases

Tickets are available through the payment link above and at designated Refuge Catchat fundraising events during the stated sales period.

Each valid, sequentially numbered ticket provides one entry into the draw. Only paid, valid entries received before the applicable sales deadline will be included.

Participants are responsible for providing accurate contact information and retaining their ticket information.

3. Draw Procedure

The draw will take place on December 7, 2026, at 7 p.m. Eastern Time, and will be streamed live on Refuge Catchat’s Facebook page.

Winning tickets will be selected electronically at random from all valid entries.

Limit of one prize per person: Participants may purchase multiple tickets to increase their chances of winning, but each person may win only one prize. Once a person wins, all remaining tickets purchased in their name will be excluded from subsequent prize draws. If another ticket belonging to that person is drawn, it will be set aside and another ticket will be drawn until a new eligible winner is selected.

Participants do not need to attend or watch the broadcast to win.

Any necessary postponement will be handled in accordance with RACJ requirements and communicated to participants.

4. Winner Notification and Claims

• Winners will be contacted by email within 48 hours of the draw.

• Participants are responsible for checking their inbox and junk folder.

• Winners must respond and arrange to claim their prize within 30 days of the draw.

• Proof of identity, age, eligibility, and ticket purchase may be required.

• Unclaimed prizes will be handled in accordance with applicable RACJ requirements and the licence conditions.

5. Prize Collection and Travel

Physical prizes must be collected by arrangement in Saint Lazare, Vaudreuil, Baie D’Urfe and Dorval.

• Delivery and shipping are not included or guaranteed. Any alternative arrangement must be agreed upon with Refuge Catchat in advance.

• Winners from other towns or regions must arrange and pay for their own travel to collect or use their prizes.

• Transportation, accommodation, parking, meals, and other expenses associated with collecting or using a prize are the winner’s responsibility, unless expressly included in its description.

• Gift certificates, photoshoots, and experiences are subject to the provider’s stated terms, booking requirements, availability, and applicable expiry dates.

• Hockey tickets are valid for the specific game and seats listed. Winners are responsible for attending on the scheduled date.

• Distance from a pickup location, business, or venue does not entitle a winner to delivery, reimbursement, cash, or a replacement prize.

6. Charitable Purpose and Financial Accountability

The net proceeds of this raffle will support the charitable purposes for which Refuge Catchat’s licence was issued: helping abandoned, stray, and vulnerable cats and kittens through rescue, care, rehabilitation, and rehoming.

Refuge Catchat will:

• Keep combined annual ticket-sale revenue from all lottery systems authorized under its Class A licence within the $20,000 limit.

• Ensure the raffle’s net profits represent at least 35% of ticket-sale revenue, and that its administrative costs remain below its net profits.

• Maintain the required lottery register and supporting records, retain them for two years following the licence’s expiry, and provide them to the RACJ upon request.

• Use the profits for the authorized charitable purposes within one year following the licence’s expiry, and retain the relevant supporting information for two years following that expiry.

7. Liability

Refuge Catchat is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged tickets, participant internet or email issues, or interruptions to the live broadcast, except where responsibility is imposed by applicable law.

An interruption to the broadcast does not remove a valid ticket from the draw.

8. Acceptance of Rules

By purchasing tickets, participants agree to these rules, including the eligibility requirements and their responsibility for prize collection, travel, and associated expenses.
